about our clothes
The clothing sold at Fahari Bazaar is made by:
Paulo
Teddy
Emili
Anna
Jose
Regina
These highly skilled tailors have been making our clothes since the beginning.
The fabrics we use are 100% cotton Kitenge, Kanga or Batiki fabrics sourced from women vendors at the Kitumbini fabric market in Dar es Salaam.
Having our clothes made in Tanzania creates high paying jobs for skilled tailors in a country where this occupation is often undervalued.
Our goal is to open a Fahari Bazaar Workshop that will provide working space, quality training and high paying jobs for young women.
Product development and special orders are done by Fahari Wambura at the Fahari Bazaar shop in Chatham, New York.
